El derecho de la competencia (en inglés Competition Law, conocido en Estados Unidos como Antitrust Law) es la rama del Derecho que se encarga de regular el comercio mediante la prohibición de restricciones ilegales, la fijación de precios y los monopolios.

In the United States and Canada, and to a lesser extent in the European Union, the modern law governing monopolies and economic competition is still known by its original name, "antitrust law". In most other countries, however, it is now called "competition law" or "anti-monopoly law".
The antitrust laws proscribe unlawful mergers and business practices in general terms, leaving courts to decide which ones are illegal based on the facts of each case. Courts have applied the antitrust laws to changing markets, from a time of horse and buggies to the present digital age.
It is also known as antitrust law (or just antitrust), anti-monopoly law, and trade practices law; the act of pushing for antitrust measures or attacking monopolistic companies (known as trusts) is commonly known as trust busting. The history of competition law reaches back to the Roman Empire.
