Background. The Elite Sports Program (course name is 'Sports Development') at Lake Ginninderra College has successfully supported local, national & international sporting students since the school opened in 1987 (see our Hall of Fame).. The long standing partnership with the AIS has been part of the school's culture and history and has shaped many of the unique strengths of the college.
UC SSC Lake Ginninderra College hosted the 25th annual Global Classroom International Conference from 24 March to 27 March 2022. This year’s theme was ‘Ways of Learning.’ The conference kick-started at the crack of dawn with welcoming all international participants to the country and a smoking ceremony by Uncle Wally Bell.

Elite Sports students are offered the opportunity to attend major excursions in their time at Lake Ginninderra. In 2019 the college entered 5 teams to National School Championships. This resulted in 3 National Titles and a runners up. In 2022, we returned to Nationals after the Covid break to win a further 3 National School Titles.
We thank the school community for assisting us to continue to meet, and comply with, current health advice. As a result, the end of year celebrations will be for students only except for the Special Awards event. - Formal 6.30-9.30pm Thursday 26 November at UCSSC Lake Ginninderra.
