28 de may. de 2022 · Nancy Spungen was no bit player in the story of the groundbreaking British punk band the Sex Pistols. Brutally killed at the age of 20 under uncertain circumstances, she was the girlfriend of Pistols' bassist Sid Vicious, born John Simon Ritchie (via the official Sex Pistols website). Vicious was charged with killing Spungen, although he died from an overdose before the trial could begin.

Nancy Spungen est la fille de Frank et Déborah Spungen. Sa famille, d'origine juive, fait partie de la classe moyenne américaine. Enfant hyperactive et violente, elle est envoyée en centres spécialisés pour enfants perturbés où elle est suivie par des psychiatres. Nancy Laura Spungen (Philadelphia, 27 februari 1958 – New York, 12 oktober 1978) was een Amerikaans misdaadslachtoffer dat een relatie had met Sid Vicious van de band The Sex Pistols.
