Footscray High School – Pilgrim Campus Years 7-9. 1 Pilgrim Street, SEDDON 3011. Pilgrim Campus is located on the corner of Pilgrim and Albert streets Seddon. We are located directly opposite VU Nicholson Campus. We are easily accessible via public transport within easy walking distance from train and bus options.
Footscray High School opened in temporary accommodation in January 1954, moving into a new building on Wembley Avenue a few months later. Although the site was in Yarraville, it was officially known as Footscray High. The school was rebadged as Footscray Yarraville Secondary College in 1990, but declining enrolments led to its closure in 1996.
Footscray High School is accredited under the Department of Education’s CRICOS registration (CRICOS provider name and code: Department of Education, 00861K). For more information, see: www.study.vic.gov.au. Our school is located on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations.
Welcome to the Footscray High School - FHS (AKA Footscray / Yarraville Secondary College) page. FHS was in Wembley Avenue, Spotswood in Victoria - Australia but has since been demolished. This page was created in 2008 for FHS students (of all years), teachers and anyone else who may have attended/worked at the school.
We built a new 3-storey building for Footscray High School – Barkly Campus. We also refurbished the BER building and expanded the Design, Arts, Technology and Science (DATS) facility. The two buildings link to provide an integrated DATS facility. In 2021, Barkly Campus opened for Year 7 and 8 students.
