30 de nov. de 2022 · A digital flesh model of the sail-backed dinosaur Spinosaurus was tested and performed very poorly in water, favoring the view of this dinosaur as a two-legged, wading ambush predator of large fish in shallow waterways and not an aquatic dinosaur.
In its special exhibition Spinosaurus, the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin displays the first scientifically accurate and full-size skeleton ever assembled of this gigantic, approximately 100-million-year-old predatory dinosaur from the Cretaceous period.
Spinosaurus was the largest carnivorous dinosaur; herbivores argentinosaurus and sauroposeidon were probably larger than the spinosaurus. Different estimates have placed the spinosaurus between 12.8 and 18 meters long, and weighing between 7 and 20.9 tonnes.
