In 2015 it was adapted by Richard Curtis into a BBC television film, Roald Dahl's Esio Trot, featuring Dustin Hoffman and Judi Dench as the couple, with James Corden narrating.
Claramente sobran estas últimas, porque además de no añadir nada a la historia, se hacen muy pesadas, pero claramente es lo que pasa, no se puede adaptar un libro tan corto en un film de más de una hora. Una pena. Lo mejor de la película, es que a veces entretiene, pero no muchas.
