21 de oct. de 2006 · German rockers the Scorpions released their twelfth studio album Face the Heat in 1993. The album marked the first collaboration between the band and the late producer Bruce Fairbairn, while escalating the Scorpions to a sort of political band with several of the albums songs having strong political themes.
Scorpions performed both versions of "In the Flesh" from The Wall. After the Crazy World tour Francis Buchholz, the band's long-serving bassist, left the group. Later days (1993–2009) In 1993, the Scorpions released Face the Heat. Bass was handled by Ralph Rieckermann. For the recording process, the band brought in producer Bruce Fairbairn.

The twelfth studio album was released in 1993. album peaked at #24 on billboard with three singles, "Alien Nation" peaked at #10 on Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks, "Woman" peaked at #15 Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks. and "Under the Same Sun" peaked at #16 Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks.

It's a pity that Scorpions didn't concentrate on a dozen or so tracks, which would have kept the album's melodic and effective momentum.
