29 de dic. de 2018 · Naotoshi shida is now freelance animator, but still works closely to toei animation. Before Dragon Ball returned, Shida mostly did animation for series like One Piece, Pre Cure and he even did uncredited animation for Death Note. However, Shida's animation evolved into something truly special, whilst working on these shows.
Naotoshi Shida first debut in one piece . ... Although since he storyboarded before then, it’s likely he did sequences before then. Shida has worked with toei for a long time though, as far back as Dragon Ball Z and maybe even Dragon Ball (please correct me if I’m wrong).
Minoru Maeda is still my favorite animation director and supervisor, following closely by Tadayoshi Yamamuro in his prime. Naotoshi Shida is behind these two, but ahead of modern Yamamuro and Takahashi, for me. I’m not as familiar with the pre super animation but for super it’s gotta be shida.
