Ab der Saison 2018/19 wird der Oberrang der Red Bull Arena bei Bundesliga- und Cup-Spielen gemäß dem Motto „Treue lohnt sich“ nur noch für Dauerkarten-Besitzer geöffnet. Das neue Fassungsvermögen sinkt dadurch bei nationalen Spielen auf nunmehr 17.218 Zuschauer, wobei die Komprimierung der Fans auf dem Unterrang für eine insgesamt bessere Geräusch- und Zuschauerkulisse sorgt.
18 January 2014. David v Goliath! 30,188 spectators braved the cold at the Red Bull Arena to see a tasty friendly match against the mighty Bayern Munich. Thanks to the incredible support, our boys pulled off a shock 3-0 win (Goals: Soriano, Mané, Zulj) against a seemingly unstoppable Bayern side. 31 July 2013.
