SF Sorrow belong on the Rolling Stone 500 albums list and the 1001 albums to hear beore you die and many other lists. The fact that it isn't (and Ogden's Nust Flake is) is almost comical. The first and best concept album. But The Pretty Things were not out of fuel, check out Parachute and Cross Talk (my fave.)

Generally considered the first "rock opera," the 1967 opus by erstwhile gritty rockers turned psychedelic visionaries predates the Who's vastly more popular Tommy by a year. (Incidentally, there are significant parallels between the plots of both records.)
