Free services are of course paid somewhere by someone. The listed Nextcloud providers all offer a free account with 2-5 GB storage, but also offer larger storage and more options like a dedicated setup for a fee, which funds the free accounts. Consider paying for your account, it helps them provide this service!
Base version - FPM. When using the FPM image, you need another container that acts as web server on port 80 and proxies the requests to the Nextcloud container. In this example a simple nginx container is combined with the Nextcloud-fpm image and a MariaDB database container. The data is stored in docker volumes.
We recommend configuring the background job Webcron or Cron (see Background jobs) to enable Nextcloud to automatically detect files added to your external storages. Nextcloud may not always be able to find out what has been changed remotely (files changed without going through Nextcloud), especially when it’s very deep in the folder hierarchy of the external storage.
