Marnie Schulenburg va néixer a Cap Cod, Massachusetts. Té una germana gran, Corinna, dramaturga, i un germà petit, Allan, professor de música. Es va graduar a l'escola secundària de Barnstable l’any 2002 [3] on va actuar en musicals i cantar en el conjunt vocal de jazz. Va fer classes de dansa i cant al Conservatori de Cape Cod.
