3 de jun. de 2009 · Re: [3.5] Bodyguard character. There's a Thayan Knight PrC in Complete Warrior. They're supposed to be totally loyal to Red Wizards of Thay and be helpful to them. I don't recall how much bodyguarding they do, and how much murdering they do though. There's a ToB maneuver called Shield Block or some such.
I've been thinking about this build for months now; the best bodyguard that doesn't use magic.What I've come up with is a warforged battle master that uses maneuvers to protect those around her.. At first level, I'd choose protection as my fighting style.. At third level I'd pick up disarming attack and goading attack.. At fourth level, I'd take the sentinel feat.

Mechanically, it would be fairly stream lined and give the feat a bit of versatility. Thematically, the skills you gain to become a bodyguard can easily apply to anyone. Just look at personal body guards in the real world. They're professionals who protect whoever they're being paid to protect.
