Studying for a Guildhall Artist Masters in Performance prepares you for entry to the profession at the highest level, offering training in the following areas: Advanced Instrumental Studies (for Strings, Wind, Brass, Percussion, Keyboard), Chamber Music, Historical Performance, Jazz, Opera Studies, Piano Accompaniment, Repetiteur, Vocal Studies, and Orchestral Artistry in association with the LSO.
It provides specialist, professional training if you are looking to embark on a national and international career. The Artist Diploma represents post-Masters progression, and is designed to meet the specialised needs and aspirations of outstanding performance students, and to support them with the competence and sensitivity required.
The Jazz Department at Guildhall School is one of the most renowned and established of its kind. Our core focus is the teaching of musics around the jazz tradition, including Studio and World specialisms, and preparing improvising musicians for high profile careers in the music industry.
In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Guildhall School of Music & Drama is offering three scholarships to students in India and Mexico, applying for our postgraduate programme MA Collaborative Performance Making. Guildhall School joins the BBC Symphony Orchestra for an exploration of the politics, thinking and music from the 1960s and 1970s of four great radicals.
