Years before the MCU was officially launched with Iron Man, Campbell memorably appeared in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man in 2002, portraying a wrestling promoter who coins the "Spider-Man" name for Peter Parker. He'd have cameos in both Spider-Man sequels, but as different characters.

Some theories suggest his characters could be a version of Mysterio, but the actor didn't confirm or deny it.
The Snooty Usher was portrayed by Bruce Campbell, who also portrayed the Ring Announcer in Spider-Man and the Maître d' in Spider-Man 3.
