Peter McLaren es uno de los principales representantes de la pedagogía crítica revolucionaria. Nació en Toronto, Canadá en 1948. En 1973 obtuvo el título de "Bachelor of Arts" en Literatura Inglesa en la Universidad de Waterloo; después se recibió de "Bachelor of Education" en la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad de Toronto.

After a period of incursions through the field of leftist post-modernism and post-structuralism, McLaren argues today that there are insuperable limitations in these approaches and criticizes the academic sycophants and their position towards these perspectives.
