Teddy Thompson (Londen, 19 februari 1976) is een Brits singer-songwriter. Thompson werd geboren in een Londense soefi commune. Hij is de zoon van folk-rockmuzikanten Richard en Linda Thompson en de broer van zangeres Kamila Thompson. Op zijn 18e verhuisde Thompson naar Los Angeles om zijn muziekcarrière te beginnen.

À l'âge de 18 ans, il déménage à Los Angeles pour y poursuivre sa carrière musicale. En 2000, il sort son premier album, Teddy Thompson.Malgré de très bonnes critiques, l'album n'a pas un grand succès commercial.
