  2. Man great record. It has that presence and drive that these early 60s Mono pressings seem to have. Great jazz, a lot of interplay between the horns. This is basically a forgotten gem you never hear about which is a shame. I have a few of these early Carmel Jones records and they're all stellar.

Two months earlier, Jones, at age 24, had left Kansas City and traveled to Los Angeles in search of studio work as a sideman.
