6 de ene. de 2020 · Richard Mulligan was better known for his roles in the ’80s series “Empty Nest” and “Soap.” He passed away in 2000 after a long battle with cancer but left behind a successful and fruitful career for which he’s still remembered.
Richard Mulligan was an American TV and film actor. He was best known for his role as Burt Campbell in the ABC sitcom Soap and Dr. Harry Weston in NBC's Empty Nest. He also played General Custer in the 1970 western comedy Big Little Man. For Disney, he voiced Einstein the Great Dane in the 1988 Disney animated feature film Oliver & Company.

Richard Mulligan was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 1994. He battled with cancer for many years, but continued acting almost until his death. He died on September 26, 2000, at his residence in Larchmont, Los Angeles, California. He is survived by his son James Mulligan who is a New Hampshire-based lawyer.
