  3. Charles Hawtrey (George Frederick Joffre Hartree, 1914–1988) was a comedy actor, noted for taking part in many of the Carry On films.. He was born in Hounslow, and attended the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, taking his stage name from the actor Sir Charles Hawtrey (1858–1923).He appeared in many plays and films from an early age, also performing as a pianist and a boy soprano.
