Squackett es un proyecto que reúne a dos talentosos músicos en una propuesta que pretende despojarse de toda mochila previa. Un dato que avala esta afirmación es que han conservado “dimensionalmente simple” la duración de los temas en un rango de tres a no más de siete minutos, promedio; y del álbum en general en no más de cuarenta y siete minutos.

Over four years in the making, the "Squackett” album is very much more than the sum of its parts. "It was very much about a bunch of pals swapping notes and anecdotes,” says Hackett "I think the material is simple and direct.” "It has a flavour to it that is reminiscent of a few things from different artists,” says Squire.

Se trataba de la unión de dos cracks esenciales para entender el género, Chris Squire y Steve Hackett, miembros de Yes y Genesis, aunque el segundo ya no lo es desde finales de los años 1970.

The two began working together after having actually met in the mid of the 80’s in the U.S A., when Chris Squire was working on his solo Christmas album “Chris Squire’s Swiss Choir” and needed some guitar parts.
