The first half of this film is decent. It details the story of a small town boy arriving on the Sunset Strip in the mid-1960s, finding nirvana with garage rock, go-go clubs, miniskirts, and Hollywood celebrities. The meek, childlike Rodney didn’t seem at all like a quintessential scenester.
