Mersey Park Mindset At Mersey Park Primary School, we know that pupils who have a positive attitude towards their learning will make good progress and be even more successful in their time at school. Consequently, instilling all our pupils with a ‘Growth Mindset’ which we also call our ‘Mersey Park Mindset’ is a key priority for our school.

  2. School Clubs. We now offer a variety of school clubs after school which are provided by NB7 Sports, our teachers and Activity for All. We will subsidise clubs provided by outside professionals from our school budget to enable more children to take part in them. We offer a range of extra curricular clubs.   3. We are pleased to announce that Mersey Park Primary has recently been awarded ‘The Eco-Schools Green Flag Award’. The Eco-Schools Green Flag is an internationally recognised award for excellence in environmental action and learning. We have a very successful Eco Council who lead eco activities in our school, supported by Mrs Porter.

  4. At Mersey Park Primary School, we recognise that oracy not only improves academic outcomes, but is a life skill to ensure success beyond school, in life and future employment. Oracy develops children’s thinking and understanding, which in turn promotes self-confidence, resilience and empathy which support the child’s well-being.

  5. Children and adults develop an ethos and language of rights and respect around the school. Rights and principles of the Convention are used to put moral situations into perspective and consider rights-respecting solutions – this all has a huge impact on relationships and well-being. We have high expectations for all children and see all of our children as ‘unique’ individuals and endeavour to enable each child to achieve their full potential, whatever their ability or specific needs by providing equal opportunities for all within our school.
