23 de abr. de 2009 · In mid-1969, Delaney & Bonnie whose rock/soul/blues group had '& Friends' added to its name because of its ever-evolving personnel were invited by Eric Clapton to open for Blind Faith's U.K. tour. Legend has it that Clapton's pal George Harrison suggested the pairing (Delaney is credited with having taught Harrison to play slide guitar), and it was a match made in rock 'n' roll heaven.

By comparison, Delaney and Bonnie had already been dropped by two record labels. Whilst they were getting known in the music business, having come to the attention of both Eric Clapton and George Harrison, sales success had not followed. Add Clapton's name, however, and that success was to follow, giving Delaney and Bonnie their first Top 30 album.
