16 de mar. de 2014 · El co -fundador y desde hace mucho tiempo el baterista de la legendaria banda ícono del punk seminal The Stooges, Scott Asheton, falleció la noche de ayer sábado a los 64 años, tal como informa el propio líder de la banda de Iggy Pop a través de su página de Facebook, diciendo que Asheton y su difunto hermano Ron «han dejado un gran legado al mundo.»
Scott Asheton rejoined Pop in 1978 to help out on a European tour, but mostly concentrated on other projects including Sonic's Rendezvous Band, led by the former MC5 guitarist Fred Smith.

At the foundation of that groundbreaking recording was drummer Scott Randolph Asheton. Asheton was born in Washington, DC in 1949 and is nicknamed Rock Action.
16 de mar. de 2014 · Scott was a great artist, I have never heard anyone play the drums with more meaning than Scott Asheton. He was like my brother. He and Ron have left a huge legacy to the world.
