Icehouse is een Australische rockband, oorspronkelijk opgericht onder de naam Flowers in 1977. De band speelt onder andere new wave en synthpop en heeft in zowel de Verenigde Staten als Europa meerdere top 10-hits gescoord. Hun grootste hit in Europa was Crazy uit 1987.. In augustus 2006 werd de band opgenomen in de ARIA Hall of Fame. In Australië had de band 28 keer een platina album.

24 de nov. de 2023 · They swapped out their name before the release of 1980’s Icehouse, a debut album that showed the lessons Davies absorbed from the Roxy Music, David Bowie, and Ultravox covers in Flowers’ early setlists. Two hits from 1982’s Primitive Man—“Hey, Little Girl” and “Great Southern Land”—established Icehouse’s brand of steely cool.
Gegründet wurde Icehouse 1980 von Iva Davies und Keith Welsh. Von 1977 bis 1980 tourte die Band unter dem Namen „Flowers“ durch australische Clubs.
