Down To The Bone - タワーレコード ... 97年にインディ・レーベルから『FROM MANHATTAN TO STATEN』でアルバム・デビュー。
Down To The Bone origins begin at the end of 1995, with Stuart Wade as producer, writer and the creative mind behind the project. The project name came about as a result of taking a track "Joy Is Free" from the soul band he was in at the time, Think Twice and remixing it, creating the Down To The Bone remix and from a London club called 'To The Bone', run by DJ’s playing funky grooves.
13 de nov. de 2009 · In 1996, when Down to the Bone’s From Manhattan to Staten shook the doldrums off smooth jazz, this new sound was fresh, funky and just plain fun. It still is. DTTB, led by British producer Stuart Wade, is now a veteran of the groove-jazz genre, whose dance staples are hip enough to be packaged into many smooth jazz discs.
The result was the Down To The Bone remix of the track ‘Joy Is Free’ which had great success. Following on from the success of his remix he teamed up with Think Twice keyboard player, Simon Greenaway, to put together a string of songs. This resulted in the first release on a 12” single of “Staten Island Groove”.
18 de ene. de 2023 · Their first album as Down to the Bone, 1997's From Manhattan to Staten, did predictably well around their base in Chobham, Surrey, but also transferred to American smooth jazz charts. Their second album, The Urban Grooves, featured a track recorded with one of Wade and Morgans' original inspirations, organist Reuben Wilson, and topped jazz charts in America after its 1998 release date.

16 de mar. de 2017 · Down to the Bone are a funk / acid jazz / soul band from the UK, founded and produced by Stuart Wade.Their latest release is "The Main Ingredients" (USA/Canada: 19 Jul 2011, Trippin 'n Rhythm - Japan: P-vine - RotW: 24 June 2011, Dome).Wade states: "it's all about the groove, that is what gets people dancing, their toes tapping and their heads nodding."
