It was their last of three albums for Atlantic Records before moving to RCA Records. The album was produced by Todd Rundgren. Rundgren and other members of Utopia, his then-recently-formed prog-rock band, perform on the record.

Le titre de ce premier opus est tiré du précédent nom du duo qui s'appelait à ses débuts Whole Oats. L'opus marche moyennement, tout comme les deux albums suivants, « Abandoned Luncheonette » ainsi que « War babies ».
