Escalating construction costs leaves stage three uncertain. Principal Ross Preece is pleased to see progress in the first stage of Ashburton College’s $60m rebuild, but if it will reach stage three is an unknown. It has been a long wait but foundations are being poured for the first new classroom block that will be ready for the start of 2024.
Ashburton College students have access to involvement in a wide range of learning opportunities outside the classroom. These range from Family Form relationship-building activities and curriculum-related field trips, to choosing from the array of curriculum-based competitions, cultural, sporting, social and overseas tours.
