Blue Öyster Cult is an American hard rock band formed on Long Island in Stony Brook, New York, in 1967. The band has sold 25 million records worldwide, including 7 million in the United States. The band's fusion of hard rock with psychedelia, and penchant for occult, fantastical and tongue-in-cheek lyrics, had a major influence on heavy metal music.

Tickets purchased will still be valid for these shows when they occur—now rescheduled to October 2022. The precursor to Blue Öyster Cult was formed in 1967 as a band called Soft White Underbelly. It comprised of drummer Albert Bouchard, vocalist Les Braunstein, keyboardist Allen Lanier, bassist Andrew Winters and guitarist Donald Roeser who would later adopt the nickname Buck Dharma. Eric Bloom replaced Braunstein in 1969 and the group changed their name to Stalk-Forrest Group.
