I mean that. It was 1980 and I was 14, listening to the Rock and Roll Alternative, a radio show George Gimarc had on KZEW in Dallas. I was sprawled out on the hood of my mom's car on a hot summer night, the stars above me blazing. The song "Lights in the Night" came on the portable radio we had and it was then I knew music could save your soul.
This German pressing is better than the Scandinavian one. Less sibilance, better tonal balance. Music is a mixed bag, but “Lights in the night” is a true magic moment.

Knowing this it is difficult to imagine a greater dichotomy of the style of FATP and AC/DC but IMO the former is a much more innovative band, influencing an entire generation of 80s synthpop artists, from The Cars to Howard Jones, A-Ha, Pet Shop Boys, Tears for Fears, and so on. I find myself drawn in to the clever melodies and wry lyrics.
