"Talk Talk have influenced most of the post-rock bands, but even that sounds like an understatement of their last two albums, Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock. For me, the music on these two masterpieces has little in common with post-rock or any other music, including their earlier works (vocals and lyrics being that "little in common").
Talk Talk was een Britse band die bestond van 1981 tot 1991. De band stond vooral bekend om de overgang van de new romantic-stroming, waar hij in het begin van zijn carrière bij ingedeeld werd, richting een meer atmosferisch geluid, eind jaren tachtig en begin jaren negentig.Hiermee was Talk Talk een van de pioniers van het postrockgenre.
