Understandably so, as Population II makes Blue Cheer (often described as the heaviest band of the 60s) sound light in comparison.

After stints in various garage rock bands including Los Angeles psych rock act The Other Half, Holden briefly joined Blue Cheer as their new guitarist in 1968.
Population III picks up where Holden’s 1969 solo debut left off, updated with several decades worth of technological advances and personal hindsight.
