31 de dic. de 1990 · Monte Croft's vibraphone playing is very much in the style of Milt Jackson while his singing ranges from jazz to pop. His high voice is appealing but takes a little while to get used to. On his Columbia CD, Croft is best on "Ella, Eddie, Jon and Betty" (an effective vocal tribute to all four of the masterful scatters) and the instrumental medium-fast blues "Rumble, Young Man, Rumble."
