Institut collégial Lisgar. Première école secondaire d’Ottawa, le Lisgar Collegiate Institute occupe, depuis 1874, son établissement fleuron du centre-ville, le long du canal Rideau. Construit en calcaire, cet édifice de style néogothique, plusieurs fois agrandi jusqu’en 1908, a subi de vastes travaux de rénovation dans les années 1970.
Shaver attended high school at Lisgar Collegiate Institute in Ottawa, where he began working with Ingenia Communications Corporation, an Ottawa-area computer consultancy that later dissolved. His efforts saw him rise from a summer student who worked as a system administrator and software developer to chief systems architect and eventually Chief technical officer (CTO).
Lisgar Collegiate Institute has a 170-year-old tradition of excellence in Academics, the Arts, and Athletics. Each student’s contribution to the learning environment is valued. Many of our graduates receive scholarships and awards from several Canadian and American universities and colleges.
