Cajun Dance Party nahmen 2006 ihr erstes Demo auf und veröffentlichten 2007 ihre erste Single The Next Untouchable, die zum „Track of the Week“ beim NME wurde. The band released the song "The Hill, The View & The Lights" the only song on the album to feature Vicky Freund on vocals, as a free download from their website to promote the album.
