  5. Hemdale Film Corporation was an independent American-British film production company and distributor that produced The Terminator. Hemdale was founded in 1967 by John Daly and David Hemmings. After producing and distributing British films throughout the 1970s, Hemdale relocated to Hollywood in 1980.[1] In 1991, Hemdale filed for bankruptcy. In November 1995, the studio closed.[1]
