  5. The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts was co-founded by Sir Paul McCartney and Mark Featherstone-Witty (who helped set up The Brit School) who were introduced to each other by George Martin, a mutual friend. LIPA welcomed its first intake of students in 1996.

  6. Date: Monday 13 January – Friday 4 April. Easter Break. Date: Saturday 5 April – Sunday 27 April. Term 3. Date: Monday 28 April – Friday 6 June. Should assessment activity continue onto the Saturday at the end of a given term, students are expected to remain in attendance for this activity before leaving for their holidays.
