Unlike Micheal Clarke Duncan who fit the physical qualities of Kingpin much better than Vincent D'Onofrio. Some of the writing could be at fault as well. His relationship with Vanessa was quick to love and not believable. He comes off too soft at times, unlike any other kingpin adaptation I've ever seen. Just my 2 cents.
