I have failed to be thankful and to remember that You are at work in my life, even through all the troubles. Please forgive me, God. I want to be a person who keeps my eyes on You and praises You, no matter what may come my way.

I can say “thank you” so easily and then just as easily go back to living in ways that don’t seem very thankful. What does thankful living look like? Thankfulness that is sacrificial?
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.
