LOS ANGELES – February 06, 2019 – Skybound North/Wind Sun Sky and Com2uS announced today they have tapped Chris “Doc” Wyatt and Kevin Burke to expand the Summoners War universe, a billion-dollar IP with 100 million mobile RPG users, as writers and producers for the animated television adaptation.
The smash-hit TV series Invincible, for Amazon Prime, is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 98% rating and has been green-lit through Season 3. Building on that success, Skybound has established a growing 200-person animation studio with four projects in production that include a multi-format and style capability—hand-drawn 2D, 3D, and realtime in-engine.
Skybound Entertainment is responsible for television hits including The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, Outcast, Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics, and currently holds a first-look television deal with Amazon Studios. On the film side, Skybound has a first-look deal with Universal.
