The only "A Star is Born" movie I saw was the 1976 one with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson, and I loved it. The way Barbra sang the song "Evergreen" in it and her performance at the end of the movie was exceptional. I didn't see the first movie with Judy Garland, so I don't know of the similarities between those two movies.
