After rejecting a bribe, Clouseau inadvertently sinks the barge by burning a hole in it with his laser beam lighter. The police move in to capture the gang and recover the money, and Clouseau is decorated for his achievement. When he flies to Paris for a rendezvous with Lisa, however, he finds himself seated next to the predatory Mrs. Weaver.
