19 de mar. de 2007 · Denny Doherty began his career at 15 with the Halifax dance band of Peter Power, and then sang with a succession of pop-folk groups - the Hepsters, the Colonials, and the Halifax Three. The latter (which at one time included Toronto guitarist Zal Yanovsky, later of the Lovin' Spoonful) made the LP San Francisco Bay Blues (1963, Epic BN-26060) and performed in eastern Canada and in the US.

19 de ene. de 2024 · Then, on Jan. 19, 2007, at his home in Ontario, Doherty passed away from kidney failure following surgery for a stomach aneurysm. The Mamas and the Papas were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on January 12, 1998. Michelle Phillips, who became a successful actress beginning in the early ’70s, turned 79 on June 4, 2023.
