1 de may. de 2020 · The History of the Raketa Big Zero. Raketa is a brand which the Petrodvorets Watch Factory in St. Petersburg introduced in 1962 to honor Yuri Gagarin. The name, which may also be spelled Ракета (Cyrillic), means “Rocket.” The brand was huge in the 70s and 80s, so many of the styles you see—including that of the eye-catching Big Zero—reflect those time periods.
He simply showed his Raketa Big Zero watch and said: “It’s like on my watch: the Soviet people want to start everything from zero”. This immediately made the headline of Italian newspapers. Thus began the legend of the “Big Zero”! The Raketa automatic movement is entirely produced at the Raketa Watch Factory in Saint Petersburg.
