  1. Winchester College pupils have won the British Go Schools Teams tournament. 14th March 2023. A Natural History of the Universe. Professor Brian Cox delivered the annual Duncan Louis Stewart lecture in March 2023 focusing on cosmology and developments in the study of black holes.

  2. It was bequeathed to the College in 1978 as a memorial to their son James (1925-1944), an Old Wykehamist who was killed in the bombing of the Guards’ Chapel in WWII. The collection is on display in Treasury, Winchester College’s museum of art and archaeology, which is open to the public every day between 2pm and 4pm. Entry is free.

  4. WAR CLOISTER HISTORY. War Cloister was the vision of Monty Rendall, Headmaster from 1911 to 1924. It was originally designed as a memorial to the 500 Old Wykehamists known at the time to have fallen in the First World War. The total number of boys in the school, in each of the years between 1914 and 1918, was no more than 450.
