Extreme's Sixth album comes after 15 years of waiting, and it was worth it, for the most part. This is a very consistently good album, with some killer riffs, great basslines and cool vocals throughout. The most interesting thing about this album, and band in general, are the guitar solo's, which are as good as they will always be.
6 de jun. de 2023 · And now ‘SIX‘ is here, an album that literally bursts out of the gates with the now familiar ‘Rise‘. A song that provides a fresh statement of intent from the band. Heavy guitars and yodelling shouldn’t work this well. ‘Rise‘ is also the first Extreme song to feature a writing collaboration with the hugely talented Jordan Ferreira.
Pour ce début d’album, Extreme joue la carte du hard rock remuant qui fait taper du pied ou secouer la tête. Ainsi #Rebel et Banshee ne montrent aucun signe de fatigue. Rien de fou ni de très surprenant, mais de la compo pêchue et du riff efficace.

Things change these days. 15 years after their latest studio album, Extreme launch ‘Six’. Again driven by Cherone and Bettencourt, the album is a powerful return.

9 de jun. de 2023 · Extreme are back with their first album in 15 years, which is quite the hiatus by anyone’s standards. During that time the band have been working on and off and touring sporadically, but the guys are now back, focused, and by the sound of this album, hungry to prove they are still rocking on all cylinders.
