Britská rocková skupina Uriah Heep se zformovala v listopadu 1969, když se producent Gerry Bron seznámil s klávesistou Kenem Henslym, bývalým členem skupiny The Gods a Toe Fat. Bron nabídl Henslymu, aby se stal novým členem skupiny Spice, která právě uzavřela nahrávací smlouvu s vydavatelskou společností Bronze Records.

Uriah Heep biography Founded in 1969 in London, England - Still active as of 2018 URIAH HEEP came into being in 1970, the band evolving from SPICE. The multi talented Ken HENSLEY, who had previously been a member of CLIFF BENNETT'S TOE FAT, and THE GODS (who also featured GREG LAKE in their line up) was brought in, initially to add an organ to the band's sound.

Uriah Heep are an English rock band formed in London in 1969. Their current lineup consists of guitarist Mick Box, keyboardist Phil Lanzon, lead vocalist Bernie Shaw, drummer Russell Gilbrook, and bassist Dave Rimmer. They have experienced numerous lineup changes throughout their 55-year career, leaving Box as the only remaining original member.
