Jan Hammer (født 17. april 1948 i Praha, i tidligere Tsjekkoslovakia) er en tsjekkisk komponist og musiker. Han er kjent for sangene «Miami Vice Theme» og «Crockett's Theme» (som også var med på lydsporet til dataspillet GTA: Vice City) fra TV-serien Miami Vice som ble sendt på 1980-tallet.
Jan Hammer has no problem with dance music, but is disappointed at the lack of opportunity radio and TV provides for other styles of synth playing. "I have also produced dance music and I enjoy listening to some of it where there are stark sounds and imaginative programming, but with most of it there's a musician presence that's missing — where the musician has something to say," says Jan.
