Moving Hearts was een Ierse folk-rockband, opgericht in 1981 door zeven bekend geworden Ierse muzikanten. Zij combineerden Ierse traditionele muziek met rock-'n-roll, terwijl ook wel jazzelementen aan hun spel werden toegevoegd. Zij speelden in 1983 twee nummers op Van Morrisons album A Sense of Wonder.

Moving Hearts chronology. Live Hearts. (1983) The Storm. (1985) Live in Dublin. (2007) The Storm is the third studio album by Irish folk-rock group Moving Hearts, recorded as an entirely instrumental album. When the band re-formed in 2007, they concentrated on performing this material.
Moving Hearts have become a purely instrumental band, and this new set is very much a reworking of their 1985 instrumental album, The Storm, but now performed with even more confidence and attack. The aim, it seems, is to mix Irish traditional influences with a dash of jazz and rock, and the result is a pomp-folk hybrid style that would be ideal for an Irish-flavoured Hollywood epic."
